Biblical Audio Commentary – Instant Wisdom Upon Salvation?

You may wonder at the question I pose as the title of this Commentary: Upon being born-again and granted salvation through the sacrificial gift of Jesus Christ, do we immediately gain wisdom? Actually, I would argue that we don’t. We have the potential for wisdom because in the moment of salvation we have the fear of the Lord that has led us to humble repentance. However, if we believe what the Old Testament instructs us concerning wisdom, then it’s not necessarily instant. It is gained through instruction from knowledge given by God. This is easily seen in a multitude of Scriptures.
