Note: Aired on my Sister's 10th Birthday at the time. Unfortunately, not a great week at the movies at the time with "The Sum of All Fears" and "Enough" being the worst. And what's interesting, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were a married couple back then and ready to film their worst film together called simply "Gigli". Go figure!

Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper reviews "Enough" (A terrible Lifetime Movie of the Week thriller about a naive woman getting abuse and fight back against her battered husband! It's always the same stupid formula that needs to be abandoned. Written By: Nicholas Kazan. Directed By: Michael Apted. Starring: Jennifer Lopez, Juliette Lewis and Billy Campbell.); "Bartleby"; "The Importance of Being Earnest" (Brilliant Movie with Excellent Performances By: Judi Dench and Reese Witherspoon.); "The Sum of All Fears" (Ben Affleck is so miscast as a young CIA Director, Jack Ryan that it begs you to have Alec Baldwin and/or Harrison Ford back since they were better. But luckily, there's Chris Pine in the fifth installment, "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" and John Krasinski in the Amazon Prime Video Series, "Jack Ryan". All based on the Tom Clancy's Successful Novel. Also stars, Morgan Freeman, James Cromwell, and Bruce McGill. Directed By: Phil Alden Robinson.) and "Lagaan".

Thumbs Up Video: Roeper's pick is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (2001). And Ebert's picks are "Insomnia" (1997) and "The Gambler" (1974). (Both became remakes of course!) And a recap of Today's Program.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
