📹⚡️A T-55A of the Russian Armed Forces, participating in assault operations and providing fire support to infantry platoon-level tactical units, is heading toward its firing positions.

The vehicle does not have a full-fledged anti-drone “roof cage” but all projections of the turret are tightly covered with newly installed 4S20 Kontakt-1 ERA elements, and the frontal projection of the turret is protected by a large sloped anti-drone slat screen — which, in any case, is better than having no protection kit at all.

The vehicle has proven to be excellent as a 100 mm self-propelled gun, with a firing range of around 14,600 m when using ОФ412Ж and ЗОФ32 high-explosive fragmentation shells from its rifled Д-10Т2С cannon at an elevation of 18 degrees.

In particular, the ammunition load of Russian T-55 and T-54B tanks often consists of old shells produced in the last century.
