Serendipity is defined as: the happy accident of finding pleasant or valuable things you weren't looking for, a fortunate discovery made by chance.

Well, as chance would have it, after finally getting Rick Moranis in my Sirius/XM feed again, I was reading Dave Barry’s memoir, “Class Clown,” and I got to a section where he discussed having offended people by posting an article about the worst songs ever written.

(Yes, that’s a paragraph-sentence, but it makes sense and flows if you read it slowly.)

Guess what?

HE LISTED MACARTHUR PARK AS ONE OF THE TOP 5 WORST SONGS EVER RECORDED.

I’d never even heard of the song, and here it was, popping up twice in my life within a matter of a couple days.

To be honest, I don’t remember anything about it, other than that I didn’t enjoy what I was hearing.

I snapped this picture, was happy, and then changed the station.

So, is MacArthur Park a bad song?

From what little I heard, absolutely.

One of the top 5 worst songs ever written?

I don’t know…

I mean, there’s everything both N’Sync, New Kids on the Block, and the Backstreet Boys ever recorded.

That’s all unlistenable garbage.

Then there’s modern country, most rap…

Coldplay has released over 10 albums!

You’re telling me that they haven’t cracked the top 5 worst songs ever written?

They’re easily one of the worst bands out there.

Anyway, it makes me giggle whenever I see a wrong picture representing an artist on Sirius/XM.

Don’t know why.
