Toronto - The City That Never Stops… Digging

Toronto’s traffic nightmare isn’t accidental—it’s the result of incompetent and possibly corrupt local leadership approving nonstop, year-round construction. Driving in the city feels like playing a never-ending game of Pac-Man, dodging closures and detours at every turn. And it’s not limited to one neighbourhood—this chaos engulfs the entire city, even on weekends.

Ontario’s government leadership is utterly incompetent—and quite possibly corrupt to the core. Across Toronto, city workers stand around glued to their phones instead of doing their jobs, while construction companies operate at a snail’s pace because they’ve secured multiple contracts despite having limited capacity. One can easily imagine how those contracts are awarded.

In China, they can build a 40-storey tower in days, yet Toronto can’t fix a single pothole. There is no accountability, no enforcement of deadlines, and zero consequences for contractors who fail to meet their obligations. When the top is rotten, the entire system decays with it.
