Massachusetts Orders Man to Surrender His Guns or Be Prosecuted

A Massachusetts man was arrested for the “crime” of owning legally purchased firearms inside his own home. Police cut him a deal. He could avoid charges only if he shipped every gun out of the state. No violence. No victims. Just possession without a government permission slip.

This story highlights how far the state has drifted from the protections of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment is not the only right being violated. These cases raise serious concerns under the Fourth, Fifth, and Eighth Amendments as well, especially when citizens are threatened with jail time, warrantless searches, or forced to give up property without due process.

Massachusetts treated this man as if he were a danger to society while violent offenders routinely walk free. If this concerns you, you are not alone. Visit the Civil Rights Coalition to learn how to get involved and how to help repeal Chapter 135 in the 2026 election.
