Are Truces a Major Sin in Islam?

In #Shariah #Truces are listed as a major sin. But are they truly a sin at all? What if the Islamic scholars while commenting on the Qur'an reveal that Truces are a tool to returning to the pursuit of #jihad? Would that not mean truces are not a sin?
