The 70 Weeks of Daniel was Fulfilled

These are some of the best charts I've seen in regards to the 70 weeks of Daniel. The key word is "after" in Daniel 9:26. This means that Jesus was cut off in the middle of the last 7 years. This also means that Daniel 9 is not a prophecy for generations many centuries into the future. Jesus was baptized at the beginning of the last "Seven" and then cut off 3 1/2 years after that. The veil was torn in the temple and this put an end to animal sacrifices. From that point, the Gospel was taken exclusively to the Jews for the last 3 1/2 years in accordance to Jesus' command. The stoning of Stephen marked the end of the last 3 1/2 years and that concluded the final week or "Seven", which in turn concluded the 490 year prophecy of Daniel. The Covenant was confirmed with many during that last "Seven". The prince of the ruler that is to come was Titus, son of the Roman Emperor Vespacion. Titus destroyed the city and the sanctuary in 70 AD.

There was also the seven feast days that the Hebrews kept through their calendar year. The first one is Passover. They were celebrating on the first month of their calendar year, on the 14th day of the month, they were to sacrifice that lamb and so forth. That lamb was a type that looked forward to the coming Messiah. And so, the year that Jesus died, he died on the very Passover day, which the lamb was to be sacrificed, as it says in Exodus 12, between the two evenings, that is at three o'clock in the afternoon. So, precisely when the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed, Jesus said, "It is finished," and he died. So, in that type, if you combine that with the 70-week prophecy, here was a prediction that told not only the year when Messiah would die, not only the day, but the very second when he would die.

It's time for pastors and teachers to quit preaching from the 6 o'clock news and start preaching from the Bible. The fulfillment of the 70 weeks of Daniel proves that Jesus is the messiah!
