Tanner barks from fear at me a lot. So my progress with him is very challenging in the beginning. Tanner likes to keep his space from me. Tanner barks at me even if he sees me just a little bit. When I am too close he shows me his teeth. One of the many good things about Tanner is that he likes kibble a lot and is treat motivated. In this video I am behind a wall, so I am virtually 'invisible' to him. An HSSAZ staff lady said I should see if I can feed him kibble when I'm behind this wall. I slowly fed Tanner when I was behind this wall. Tanner realized it was me because of my smells but it was slow so he was okay with that. Tanner wasn't full yet so I was happy to see him go out and come back inside for more kibble. Tanner is a lovely guy, and he's okay with men. It just sounds like we need to socialize Tanner more. Let him see more unknown things and see that they are okay too💗
