EU imposes €120 million fine on X – Musk responds: “Bullshit”

On December 5, 2025, the European Commission imposed a fine of €120 million on the X platform. The accusation: the company is alleged to have violated the transparency provisions of the Digital Services Act (DSA).

X owner Elon Musk responded immediately to the announcement – on the EU Commission's official X account, of all places – with the comment “Bullshit!”
