The 1956 German Grand Prix, held at the Nürburgring on August 5, 1956, was a dominant performance by Juan Manuel Fangio in his Lancia-Ferrari, who led the race from pole position to the finish, setting the fastest lap. Stirling Moss finished second for Maserati, over 46 seconds behind, and Jean Behra was third.
