Plaza Premium Lounge, Dallas Texas
Here’s a detailed look at the Plaza Premium Lounge – Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (Terminal E, Gate E31) at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) — the U.S. debut of the globally recognized independent lounge brand.
The lounge opened on 1 September 2020 as the brand’s first U.S. installation. It’s located in Terminal E near Gate E31, just a short walk from the Skylink connecting to other terminals. The space measures approximately 1,400 square feet and features modern amenities such as complimentary WiFi, lounge and dining‑style seating, and charging pods, created to cater to departing and transit travellers alike. One of the lounge’s distinguishing features is the AeroBar, which includes a 3D ceramic illustration in the shape of Texas, and offers local Texan craft beers, alongside Italian Lavazza coffee. Food and drink options include house beer and wine at no extra cost, with premium drinks and some food items available for purchase. Access is available to card‑holders (such as eligible American Express cards) and via day‑pass purchase — for example, online bookings start around US $45 for a maximum stay of three hours.
On the guest experience side, the lounge receives mixed reviews. Many travellers appreciate the convenience of having a lounge in Terminal E, especially given its proximity to other gates and Skylink access. That said, several critiques stand out: the lounge’s relatively small size means it can feel crowded quickly. For example, some guests note that seating is limited and the layout feels more akin to an upgraded cafe than a spacious executive lounge. Food service is decent but not standout — while some warm options and wraps are available, others report limited variety or that items run out during peak times. One traveler wrote: “This place is really small… It was packed… …No quiet room, no lounge room. A bar and counter to order food and a McDonalds‑like seating area.” On the plus side, the lounge staff is often described as friendly, and if you need a quick spot to rest, charge devices, grab a drink and some food before your flight, the lounge can certainly provide that. Ultimately it seems best suited for travellers with shorter layovers looking for a bit of comfort, rather than those wanting an expansive lounge environment for a long stay.
