DAY 3: A TOTAL DO-OVER (John Chapter 3) "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." — John 3:3 (KJV)

The Message: In John Chapter 3, a religious leader named Nicodemus is confused. He thinks he just needs to follow more rules. But Jesus tells him something radical: You don't just need to be a better version of yourself; you need to be born again. 🔄

In recovery, we understand this. When we were active in addiction, we were physically alive but spiritually dead. We tried to fix our problems with the same broken thinking that created them. We tried to "manage" our lives, but it never worked. We didn't need a repair job; we needed a resurrection. 🥀➡️🌹

Getting sober is our new birth. We get a new date of birth (our sobriety date!). We walk differently, talk differently, and handle emotions differently. If you feel like you’ve messed up too much to change, remember: God isn't asking you to fix your old life. He’s offering you a brand new one. 🎁

🙏 Today's Prayer
God, thank You for the chance to start over. I know I can’t fix my past, but I thank You that I don’t have to live there anymore. Thank You for the gift of a new life and a fresh start in recovery. Help me to grow up in this new way of living, trusting You one day at a time. I am ready to be made new. Amen. 🙏✨

Is NA for me?
This is a question every potential member must answer for themselves. It may help to read some of our informational pamphlets, starting with
"Am I an addict?"
https://m.na.org/?ID=ips-an-an-IP7 Addict?
and
"Welcome to NA".

If you’re an addict, NA can help. "Narcotics Anonymous offers recovery to addicts around the world. We focus on the disease of addiction rather than any particular drug. Our message is broad enough to attract addicts from any social class or nationality. When new members come to meetings, our sole interest is in their desire for freedom from active addiction and how we can be of help." (It Works: How and Why, “Third Tradition”)
