War & Peace: Advent Week 2

The peace we celebrate at Christmas is just the beginning. When we read about the child born in Bethlehem, we often miss that this same passage speaks of a government on His shoulders and peace without end. That's not just about a baby in a manger—it's about a King returning to reign.

Right now, we have peace WITH God because of the cross. Our sins are forgiven. The war for our souls is won. But there's another peace coming—a physical, tangible peace when Christ returns. A peace where God Himself will wipe away every tear from our eyes. No more death. No more pain. No more sorrow.

The most beautiful part? He doesn't make all new things. He makes all things NEW. He takes our brokenness, our pain, our failures, and restores them to what He originally intended. That's the God we worship.

While spiritual warfare rages and the enemy knows his time is short, we have this hope: we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We're already victorious.

Advent isn't just about remembering when He came. It's about anticipating when He'll come again. The question is: what are we doing with the time we have left? Are we investing in bringing others into this kingdom of peace?

The King is coming back. And I'm looking forward to it.
