The Long Island Railroad Holiday Lights Train!

Plenty of Long Island Railroad customers wanted a holiday lights train after numerous requests after seeing the holiday lights train on the Metro North Railroad last year. So the Long Island Railroad brought in a Kawasaki M9 train and did just that! The Long Island Railroad is a year behind the Metro North Railroad since this train is currently on a trial run. Meaning this train is operating on a random rotation schedule with no official train schedule announcements about when this train is operating. Similar to the Metro North Railroad holiday lights train back in 2024. However, me and Lisa were visiting her sister Karen and I saw this train on the MTA radar. We stopped at Syosset on the way home since it wasn't far off of Interstate 495, and this train would be in the Syosset area during our drive home. It was definitely worth the stop! I didn't think I would catch this train so early in the holiday season. Regardless, I am very happy I did! Enjoy the video!
