This is the second-largest liquidity injection since the COVID-19 pandemic, even surpassing the peak of the dot-com bubble era. $13.5 billion is huge for a single operation. For comparison, such injections usually range from $1–5 billion on normal days, if they happen at all. The last time something similar occurred was March 2020, during the pandemic crash, when the Fed flooded the system with hundreds of billions daily. In 2019, during the "repo crisis," the peak was around $75 billion, but that was a series of operations, not a single hit.
