The Goal Post Episode 69 - Men Skipping College / Ludwig Von Mises / AI Discussion Continued

Rob shares his thoughts on bizarre wordings on an article that warns about the crisis of men not electing to go to college, and we discuss how that in itself may not amount to a serious crisis at all. In the next episode Rob intends to follow up on this subject and talk about the system of education.

Great Man of History today is Ludwig Von Mises, a familiar name in classical liberal, libertarian, and adjacent worldviews. We discuss a little bit of his earlier life, his expertise on praexology, and his views on how Socialism inevitably fails.

Speaking of Mises and Socialism we take a quick look at an article on mises.org https://mises.org/mises-wire/does-ai-lead-socialism and look over the case against assuming that AI leads to a dystopian future in which socialism will be instituted.

We have spoken a great deal about AI on this show already but we're nowhere near stopping. We talk about how the advancement of technology actually refines professions and are in tune with market demands, how a bad side effect of AI could be something likened to degradation as AI references more existing AI instead of human-generated material, and we leave off with mentioning our intend to discuss AI and artistry, particularly of music, next episode.
