Heiner shares how 20 years at the Colombian Central Bank shaped his view that today’s payment rails (like SWIFT) are outdated—too slow, too expensive, and overly dependent on trust in centralized intermediaries. Gurtfinn aims to fix that with an open-source “SWIFT 3.0 for Web3” platform, offering 1:1 fiat-backed stablecoins not just in USD, but also local currencies like Korean won (KRGX), Japanese yen (GPGX), and Philippine peso (PSGX). Their Smart Live Radar (SLR) system provides near-real-time proof of reserves to strengthen transparency and compliance.

We also cover their rollout strategy in Korea, Japan, the U.S., and the Philippines, ecosystem tools like Guru Shop and Guru Tap, and their long-term vision for faster, cheaper, more sovereign global finance.
