Bitcoin MENA Abu Dhabi 2025: DATs Cool Off, Institutions Move In, and What Comes Next

We’re closing out 2025 in Abu Dhabi for Bitcoin MENA — and the mood feels different this time.

DATs (Bitcoin treasury companies) have had an absolute roller-coaster year. They rode the frenzy to the top, and now they’re feeling the cooldown hardest: stocks down, IMNAVs compressing, and more talk about selling BTC to prop up share prices.

This is my third Bitcoin-focused conference this year. The first two were basically DAT central. But with the hype fading, I expect this one to be calmer — and honestly, healthier.

Even with Bitcoin flat (or slightly down) on the year, the big story is clear: institutions are in, governments are shifting, and inevitability is starting to look real.

Optimistic, grounded, no delusions.
