Heart's December 31, 1978 New Year's Eve concert at Seattle Center Coliseum in Seattle, Washington, was an absolute blast of a hometown party during the Dog & Butterfly tour: Ann Wilson's powerhouse vocals soaring like a force of nature, Nancy Wilson's killer guitar riffs cutting through with fantastic fire, and the whole band—Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, Howard Leese, and Michael Derosier—rockin' with tremendous energy and cool-as-hell Seattle swagger that had the crowd going wild from the opening chord to the midnight countdown. This awesome, feel-good blowout captured Heart at their peak, blending those bluesy hooks and harmonies into pure magic that still sounds fantastic today—one of the coolest live documents of their 70s glory days!
Head East and Rail also played that night

Heart is the ultimate sister-kick-ass rock machine straight out of Seattle: Ann Wilson belting like a volcano with the sexiest, most powerful voice in rock history, Nancy Wilson shredding and sliding on guitar like a total badass while looking cooler than anyone has a right to, and a band that somehow made flutes, acoustics, and monster riffs all live in the same awesome universe. From 70s barn-burners to 80s MTV domination and beyond, these ladies (and their killer crew) turned every stage into a love-fest of big hooks, bigger heart, and pure rock ’n’ roll magic. Heart doesn’t just play rock; they make the whole damn room fall in love. Total legends!
