Sometimes I hate being right.
During the talks, I got into a coughing fit and went to sit in a nearby tent. Overheard two soldiers talking about how Colonel Favours was gonna have Captain Monroe hanged for treason. This wasn't ever about peace talks. This was about trapping Monroe.
Charles and I intervened and got Monroe out of there, but not before we had to kill a whole lot of soldiers. This won't bode well for our future. Now we got Pinkertons, and the army looking for us. We either need to find a boat to Tahiti fast, or accept we ain't getting out of this alive. At least we was able to get Monroe out of there. Took him to a train station and sent him on his way.
Met Sister Calderon at the train station. Talked with her for a bit. Told her I was dying of TB cause I beat a man. She still said I was a good man and that I should believe in love and goodness and put more of that back into the world. While I just don't know, that does seem to be the best course of action. I will do what I can for people before my time comes.
