The Bugatti Tourbillon is a completely new mid-engine hybrid hypercar, sharing no components with the Chiron. Built around an aerospace-grade T800 carbon monocoque, it integrates a 25 kWh battery as a structural element and features AI-designed, 3D-printed suspension links that are about 45% lighter than the previous setup.
Under the hood, a naturally aspirated 8.3 L Cosworth V16 engine (#1000 PS) teams up with three electric motors (<800 PS) to produce roughly 1,800 PS. That translates to sub-2-second 0-100 km/h sprints and a top speed of around 445 km/h (277 mph).
Aerodynamics are equally extreme. Bugatti engineers used CFD and wind tunnel testing on half-scale models before building full-size prototypes, refining over 2-meter-long Venturi tunnels and a sculpted rear diffuser that doubles as a crash structure. The result: aerodynamic neutrality at top speed, meaning the rear wing only deploys for braking or cornering.
