Overcoming Grief

Pastor Scott Eynon reminds us that while Christmas is a season of joy, it's also a time when grief can intensify for those experiencing loss. The first Christmas itself contained both tremendous joy and deep sorrow, as seen in Matthew 2:16-18 when Herod ordered the killing of children in Bethlehem. Pastor Scott offers Biblical wisdom that God gives us permission to mourn while still finding moments to celebrate, assuring us that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted" (Psalm 34:18) and that Emmanuel—God with us—means we never grieve alone.
