After leaving Newport, Rhode Island, I set sail solo—just me and the dogs—toward Block Island. It’s one of the most beautiful spots on the East Coast, but when the weather turned, it became a wild few days riding out a storm at anchor. Once the skies cleared, it was time to start the long journey south for the winter. I sailed 75 miles solo to Port Jefferson, Long Island, navigating rough seas, strong winds, and long hours at the helm.

Come aboard Nauti Dogs as I share what it’s really like living the sailing life—solo sailing challenges, beautiful anchorages, and those unforgettable moments when the storm finally passes.
