Australia and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948
In 1948, Australia signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — a global charter promising dignity, equality, and freedom for all.
But behind the noble words, it also bound Australia to a new system of international law.
From that moment, human rights became administrative rights — privileges recognised by institutions rather than freedoms endowed by God.
A silent signature that shifted sovereignty from the people to the global stage.
Thank you and God Bless.
