David Irving :Holocaust Facts

David Irving: A British author of military and political history who, by the late 1980s, openly espoused Holocaust denial. He claimed that the gas chambers at Auschwitz were "mock-ups built by the Poles" and a "hoax". In a 2000 libel case he brought against historian Deborah Lipstadt, the UK High Court judge found that Irving was an "active Holocaust denier, anti-Semite and racist" who "persistently and deliberately misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence". He was later jailed in Austria in 2006 for the crime of publicly denying the Holocaust in speeches.
