Posted • December 9, 2025: Tim Walz is getting testy. A week ago, we learned he was deeply involved in the massive fraud that occurred under his watch and, according to a group of state employees, was allegedly punishing the whistleblowers who tried to report the fraud to state officials. He tried using the fraud to take a crack at President Trump, saying there would "be no pardons" for fraudsters in Minnesota. Of course, Walz can't issue pardons if the fraudsters are nailed with federal charges, so it was an empty gesture. But at some point, Walz also claimed he put fraudsters in jail, and — like his service record — that was a lie, too. And Walz didn't like it one bit when a reporter called him out on this "erroneous" claim. —— Gov. Tim Walz lashes out at a reporter who calls him out on trying to take credit for solving the Minnesota fraud case when it was actually him who helped the Somalis defraud Minnesota. Look at how angry Walz gets. He knows he’s guilty and in deep trouble.

Tim Walz lashes out at reporter who points out he ‘erroneously’ claimed credit for putting fraudsters in jail. Additionally, St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter falsely credited the state for detecting and prosecuting the Feeding Our Future fraud. In reality, an audit found the Walz administration "failed to act on warning signs." —— The federal prosecutor behind the Somali fraud convictions in Minnesota, Joe Thompson, said officials in Tim Walz’s administration feared being called racist if they scrutinized the fraudsters. That didn’t stop Walz from lashing out at a reporter who said it was “erroneous” for Walz to take credit for putting fraudsters in jail: “I didn’t erroneously say that. We’re the ones that our agencies are bringing it up. We’re referring them over. This is how this works.” —— Carter echoes Walz, claims federal agents ‘are not adding value.’ St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter also delivered a similar message on CNN — dismissing federal fraud work and insisting the massive fraud was uncovered by state officials, not federal agents.

St. Paul, MN Mayor Melvin Carter says his constituents "don't need" federal prosecutors to target Somali fraudsters (even after a judge just unilaterally let one free after a jury conviction for his $7M Medicaid billing scheme). "Those federal agents are not adding value in our community. They’re actually doing quite the opposite by providing a destabilizing force.” —— Walz’s and Carter’s claims stand in contrast to the record: federal prosecutors — not the state — have filed all 78 indictments in the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud case.
