Star Trek has been culturally irrelevant ever since JJ Abrams worked his magic in 2009 and failed to follow up on that promise. Alex Kurtzman has ensured the franchise will remain dead and buried thanks to his abysmal streaming shows. Nothing can brace you for how bad this clip is. Given Paramount and the powers that be thought this would be a good companion piece to those awful posters promoting this show, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is going to be The Acolyte for this brand and they only have themselves to blame.
