Australian regulator: social media ban 'calling time' on platforms

The regulator overseeing Australia's world-first teenage social media ban on Wednesday (December 10) rejected the "technological exceptionalism" championed by mostly U.S.-based platforms and said a groundswell of American parents wanted similar measures to mitigate what she called “harmful design features” that addict children to social media platforms.
