Invitation to Respond — Deny Yourself & Take Up Your Cross

Today we walked through Jesus’ powerful call in Luke 9:23–27:

“If anyone wants to follow Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

This isn’t a small invitation — it’s the foundation of discipleship.
Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, to take up our cross every day, and to follow Him wherever He leads.

We explored this through Scripture:

📖 Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ…”
📖 Luke 14:27 — “Whoever does not bear his own cross… cannot be My disciple.”
📖 John 12:24–26 — “Unless a grain of wheat falls and dies, it produces nothing…”

Dying to self isn’t losing your life — it’s finding real life in Christ.

Today’s message challenged us to surrender pride, desires, sin, old identities, and the need to control our own path. Jesus didn’t ask for a moment — He asked for a daily surrender that leads to freedom.

If you missed the full teaching, I encourage you to read Luke 9:23–27 and ask yourself:

What is Jesus calling me to lay down so I can follow Him more fully?

I’ll see you tomorrow as we continue our Invitation to Respond series. God bless you!
