Occasionally I like to use a sling with my AR. I used one a lot while I was deployed in the military and it came in very handy for the many situations I was carrying an M4. I use a clip attached to my IBA while I was in a vehicle because it was easy to detach when I was driving. While I was walking on a fob or while I was walking outside the wire on foot I preferred a sling because it made my rifle fit a little more snugly. I don’t use the clip these days because I’m done with the battle rattle, but I do use a sling that I can configure as a two point or a single point when I’m in a competition or on the range for a long time.

My favorite sling by far is the Magpul MS4 Dual QD Sling GEN2.
