Iceland pulls out of Eurovision over Israel's participation

Iceland will not take part in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, the country's public broadcaster RUV said on Wednesday (December 10), after organizer the European Broadcasting Union last week cleared Israel's participation. "There is neither peace nor joy surrounding this competition as things currently stand," Director General of RUV Stefan Eiriksson said.
