There is new information about the first attempts to blind Russian FPV drones. These attempts involved installing small IR projectors on Ukrainian drones. The projectors provided a bright directional beam of light into the drone's camera.

In one case, a drone from Ukraine tried to blind an approaching drone from Russia, but it didn't work. The second example was more successful. "Baba Yaga" confused the operator of the zenith drone, who was trying to shoot it down.

We're not talking about mass production yet, but in the future, this blinding system could be an effective way to combat FPV drones, especially the fiber optic ones, which cannot be jammed using EW. It can be installed on vehicles that are on the ground or in the air.
