When installed, the RedCat locks the hammer back and away from the sear rendering the rifle completely inert. It will not fire under any circumstances—even if you chamber a live round. I am demonstrating this so you don’t have to.

Training environments (whether formal or informal) should have very deliberate procedures to keep track of live, blank and sim ammo and to keep each type of training distinct and separate. There is no reason to have live, blank or sim rounds out while training with the RedCat. Therefore, the best habit to develop with the RedCat is to never use it with live, blank or sim rounds.

WARNING: Even though the rifle is safe, you should always adhere to all firearms safety rules as you would with any loaded firearm. You are responsible for every round that leaves your firearm.
