On January 1 — the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God in the United States — we’re dropping a song that cuts straight through the confusion around the most misunderstood woman in Scripture.

Because every year, someone insists:
“Revelation 12 isn’t Mary — it’s Israel!”
“Or it’s the Church!”
“Or it’s symbolism!”

But the vision gives us four figures:
the Woman,
the Child,
the Angel,
and the Dragon.

The Child is Christ.
The Dragon is Satan.
The Angel is Michael.
Three singular beings.
And somehow the Woman — the one giving birth to the Messiah — is supposed to be… a crowd?

That makes no sense.

And it gets better: Psalm 45 already showed us the Queen standing at the King’s right hand, arrayed in gold.
A strange psalm if it’s just about an earthly monarch’s wife…
but perfectly normal if it’s about the Mother of the Messiah.

Revelation 12 is not a cosmic group photo.
It’s a family portrait.
Christ the Son.
Satan the enemy.
Michael the defender.
Mary the Mother.

And then comes the line most people never notice:
the Dragon goes off to wage war on her offspring —
those who keep God’s commandments and hold the testimony of Jesus.

If that’s you…
she is your Mother.
