28 Point Peace Plan & The National Security Strategy

Peter Kuznick joined me to discuss and analyze two documents that cannot be taken alone: Trump’s 28 Point Peace Plan and the newly released National Security Strategy. Peter offered many new insights into both and the larger geopolitical view.

Peter insists that nothing has changed. America is still bent on being the sole hegemon. Now it will try to use sucklings to bare most of the burden. This new strategy sees “allies” as doing America’s bidding.

Steve Witkoff is a real-estate developer as is Jared Kushner, son’s son-in-law! Peter admits they are not diplomats working to ensure peace, but to make deals when this war in Ukraine is over. Peter remarked that Lavrov and other Russian diplomats were deliberately not there. Lavrov has said that real negotiations take place between diplomats over time.

Our only hope is to come together to create the world we want to leave for our children and grandchildren. BRICS, the SCO, and a multipolar world offer us that hope.

Peter is associate professor of history and director of the Nuclear Studies Institute at American University.
