The door was CRACKED OPEN - Then the neighbor told me to LEAVE!!!

I found this house where the grass was getting crazy overgrown and there was a notice on the front door from the city. I was pretty freaked out going up at first because the door was cracked open and the window was wide open. Come to find out the notice was from a week ago to secure all openings into the house. It was pretty obviously vacant though so I thought I would help the neighbors out by getting the yard cleaned up. Before I started working I did talk to the neighbor to the right and he was creeping me out a little bit. Every question I asked he shot down and it seemed like he just wanted me to leave. I mentioned that I just wanted to mow but he told me that his friend just bought the place and has a crew coming out the next day. So I came back a week later and it was still crazy overgrown so I went ahead and cleaned it up. A couple other neighbors stopped to talk and told me that the neighbor I talked to has his friends break into the home to do drugs so he wanted the overgrowth left so it helps to hide them. Well, that’s too bad because I made it look like the best yard on the block!
