This project began with a strange discovery — the story of the Bells of Tartaria. Between 1914 and 1948, countless church bells across Europe and Asia were reportedly gathered, transported, and melted down to supply metal for the allies efforts. But what fascinated me was the mystery surrounding how and why certain bells — many said to date back centuries — disappeared without trace, their origins unclear and their craftsmanship unmatched. As I researched, I began to see a deeper pattern: the quiet erasure of history through industry, the transformation of sacred sound into machinery of pain and infliction. This documentary is my attempt to explore that lost resonance — and to ask what else might have been silenced when those bells stopped ringing. -- HIDDEN RABBIT 3
