🎨 Headmaster's Homeroom: Art Night – Ron Monroe: Art Beyond Color 🌈
The Colorblind Artist Who Proves Creativity Has No Limits

Get ready for an Art Night bursting with inspiration, heart, and a whole lot of unexpected color as we welcome Ron Monroe, the artist whose journey shows us that brilliance doesn’t always come from seeing every shade—but from living every moment.

Born in Taiwan in 1967 while his dad served in the Air Force, Ron’s childhood unfolded on Whiteman Air Force Base, where adventure, imagination, and military life shaped the creative spark in him. By six years old, he was already doodling his way through life—his very first masterpiece inspired by The Banana Split Gang.

But here’s where the story twists: despite loving art, Ron never took a single art class in high school… he was too busy rocking out in band! After graduating in ’85, he joined the Army, served in Germany, and eventually made his way to The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale—only to discover in a painting class that he was colorblind.
