WHAT RIGHT DO WE HAVE TO BLOW UP AND KILL PEOPLE ON THE HIGH SEAS ... BASED ON SUSPICION ALONE?

WE NEED TO GET A HANDLE ON THIS VENEZUELA THING
The administration is accusing every high speed small boat of running drugs.

There’s a disturbing lack of transparency when it comes to blowing up speed boats and killing people on the high seas. Granted, a 30’ torpedo boat with 3 or more outboard motors seen plowing through international waters probably isn’t on a fishing trip or a vacation cruise.

Enter the U.S. government and military. Already over 87 people have died and 23 boats have been blown up by the U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard. There’s even a rumor that, on a recent seek-and-destroy mission, U.S. forces made a 2nd trip to the scene so they could kill survivors. If it’s true a “double-tap” is a clear violation of international law and human rights. If this is true, then the U.S. has a lot to answer for.

● The first question we gotta ask Uncle Sam is, “How do you ‘know’ the cargo and destination of these boats before blowing them up?” Especially, how can you know their destination when they’re still on the high seas?

● The next question we gotta ask Uncle Sam is, “With less-lethal options to capture and confiscate, why have you chosen most-lethal options?”

● The next question we gotta ask Uncle Sam is, “Why aren’t you more transparent in your claims and why are you withholding video records and other evidence of your actions?”

● The next question we gotta ask Uncle Sam is, “Are you deliberately pushing for war? And if so, what do you hope to gain by attacking an obviously inferior military power?” Remember that Vietnam’s seemingly inferior military handed us our ass! War is always a gamble. Itty bitty Vietnam kicked France, the UN, the US and Communist China’s asses. A gamble.

● Finally, “How can you justify policies cloaked in secrecy, wrapped in militaristic rhetoric and seething with death and destruction?”

We know the Maduro government is guilty, at least in part, of sending harmful drugs to the U.S. The evidence is damning, yet you downplay other much larger drug sources like China, Mexico, Columbia and a host of other bad actors. So why are we picking on Venezuela? Is there some “secret cache” of damning evidence against them? Why won’t you show us?

We seem destined for war. In war people die. Americans dying in yet another unnecessary and probably illegal war is nauseating. We fought in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan; all of which were unnecessary and often illegal wars.

President Trump has a reputation of keeping us out of direct conflict overseas. So how is it now he seems bent on war? What can we do to ensure the safety and peace we think we deserve? As with the moratorium on Vietnam and other protests, what we need is massive civil uprising. Voters need to run to the polls to save our way of life. It’s not gonna happen. The American People are soft, spoiled and weak of character. We’ve had it too good for too long and no longer deserve the peace and prosperity we say we want.
