1 Samuel 22:2
And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.

Here is a snapshot of our ministry.

This is David’s men before they became his mighty men. This shows who they were when they first gathered to him, long before they became warriors of legend.

This is the beginning.
This is who they were before God shaped them into the mighty men of 2 Samuel 23.

David did not inherit strong men. He inherited broken men.
Men with burdens, failures, and frustration.
Men society overlooked.
Men nobody believed in.

But God used David’s leadership to forge these men into warriors, loyal brothers, and men of courage.

Their transformation is one of the strongest pictures in Scripture of what discipleship and godly leadership can do. They started in a cave, not a palace. They started wounded, not mighty. But they did not stay that way.

Discipleship Has No Boundaries.
