Ebert & Roeper: 7-6-02
Note: As Comic Book Guy from "The Simpsons" would say, "WORST. EPISODE. EVER!" This infamous and horrible episode of "Ebert & Roeper" was the one that I completely lost my interest in both Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper, at least back in 2002. Since then, I stopped watching it because of their scathing review of "The Powerpuff Girls Movie" and giving a pass to a terrible "Rookie of the Year" rip-off Family Sports Comedy featuring the forgettable pint-size rapper, Lil' Bow Wow. It's like their tastebuds have gone sour and drastically used unnecessary Political traits over a kid's animated feature considering they never saw the show. Even creator, Craig McCracken got upset with its reception and these two. I know Roeper can be an ass sometimes and Ebert with his bizarre choices. But remember as excellent as they were, sometimes they both recommended bad movies and crap on good ones. Especially when Siskel was alive. However, I did go forward and back to watch it but not very often in 2004, 2005 and 2006 until late, 2007. That's when I started recording it for the first time and watch it more often.
Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper reviews "The Powerpuff Girls Movie" (I don't give a crap what these two have to say and they should be a shame of themselves. I love the Animated TV Series from Cartoon Network, and their movie was awesome! I really wished Warner Bros. had gave it a better Summer release. Directed By: Genndy Tarkovsky. Starring: Catherine Cavadini, Elizabeth Daily, Tara Strong, Tom Kane and Roger Johnson.); "Like Mike" (I really hate this movie so much that I want to sucker punch that punk, Lil' Bow Wow for his horrible acting and unlikable performance! Not even Jonathan Lipnicki from "Jerry Maguire" could save this! A formula plot where he found those magical sneakers and somehow become a basketball player. Big Deal! I can't believe "Ebert & Roeper" stoop this low!); "The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course" ("Crikey!"I only review I agree with the most because this was a fun, entertaining family comedy adventure featuring Steve Irwin as the Crocodile Hunter himself in his own movie after his popular Animal Planet series! He was great as an explorer, commentor and actually does his own stunts, too. He was a real life "Crocodile Dundee" with skill, charm and charismatic and will be sadly missed and remembered after his death in 2006.); "Men in Black II" (I actually didn't mind the sequel to the successful 1997 Original, it's not perfect but it's still fun! Directed By: Barry Sonnefeld. Starring: Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, Johnny Knoxville and Lara Flynn Boyle.) and "Home Movies".
Thumbs Up Video: Ebert's pick is "Gosford Park" and Roeper's pick are "The Affair of the Necklace" and "A Rumor of Angels". And a recap of Today's program.
Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
