David Ellison, son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, owns and controls Paramount Skydance, formed in August 2025 when his company Skydance Media merged with Paramount Global in an $8 billion deal.

He is chairman and CEO with full voting control.

The company includes: Paramount Pictures CBS Nickelodeon MTV BET Paramount+ Skydance’s film, TV, animation, and sports divisions

Currently, David is actively pursuing a hostile all-cash bid (about $108 billion total) to take over Warner Bros. Discovery (owner of HBO, CNN, Max, Warner Bros. studio, etc.).
