HEADBANGERS BALL-EP 125: “The Tompkins Chronicles: Rock Paper Scissors

What’s goin’ on SGT Rock Army!? We’re at that time of year when The North Pole is picking up the pace and Ole Saint Nick is gearin’ up his yearly global sprint. This week, we bring you a show that was put together by all seven of us for The SGT Rock Army! Blasts from the past during our time stationed in Germany and stateside. Not all of us had the ability to go home for the Christmas season. We, the Veterans of Hill 30, considered each other family. Through the month, we made dinners, outings, attended KringleMarts, road trips to Garmische, and living by our tradition of the game “Rock, Paper, Scissors” of who would end up making the Sunday dinner leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. During this time, single soldiers in the barracks, we’d invite over to our family housing for a homemade dinner and a few drinks. The one thing we always had was the music of our generation: Metal, hard rock, rock, classics, and ole favorites from back home. The most important this is, we had each other. With our families 1000s of miles away, the lead up to Christmas Eve and Christmas day was our favorite time of year to not just support each other, but our brothers and sisters in the barracks.

Now, we have you, SGT Rock Army and our fellow rock and metal fans and community to bring to you a show that we hope helps you out with the hard time that can be for some is the Christmas season.
