Hey everyone — it’s Leaflit. Today I’m reacting to Asmongold’s video about the recent tragic shooting at Kentucky State University, where a student was killed and another critically injured. The suspect — not affiliated with KSU — was taken into custody.

This video isn’t a “blame-the-gun” video. It’s a call for clarity, accountability, and deeper reflection on why tragedies like this keep happening — and what we tend to focus on when they do.

He wasn’t a student; this was reportedly an isolated act.

Violence isn’t just about “race vs guns vs politics.” Too often, shootings are immediately politicized: “It’s because of guns,” or “It’s racism,” or “It’s ideology.” But this incident shows — a lot of violence comes down to individuals with problems, warning signs, and system failures. Maybe mental-health issues. Maybe negligence. Maybe both.

Public focus should shift from slogans to prevention. Instead of demanding gun bans or race-based narratives, we should ask: Did law enforcement or intelligence ever see this coming? Were there red flags? Could someone have intervened earlier?

Institutional responsibility — including federal agencies. If the shooter was “on the radar” of authorities (as Asmongold suggests happens too often) and nothing was done — that’s a systemic failure. The problem isn’t only individual guilt — it’s oversight, prevention failure, and lack of accountability.

Respect for victims, empathy over division. This is not about pointing fingers at a group or blaming political ideology. It’s about human lives cut short — and demanding that communities, institutions, and decision-makers treat safety, mental health, and prevention with seriousness and honesty.
