How to lubricate and install a bicycle crankset

Apply grease to the crank spindle and the contact surfaces so everything slides together smoothly. Press the crankset onto the bottom bracket and tighten the main bolt to the correct torque. Spin the crank to confirm there’s no play and everything rotates freely.
