I am studying this and finding out more and more all the time.
With an open King James Bible and the use of tools like Blue letter Bible the patterns and mysteries of the KJB start to unfold with a little research and inquiry.

The first mention of Mark is not until Acts 12:12. John whose surname was Mark.

Then in Revelation you have all the mentions of the 'Mark' of the beast.

So technically the first mention of Mark is the fact that the second book of the New Testament is called Mark and was written by John Mark.

So God in his infinite wisdom compiled the King James Bible to contain exactly 1071 verses in Matthew which in math breaks down too.

840 + 6 + 10 + 215/216.

= 1071.
