How to Build a Muzzleloader Rifle Kit - Part 4 - Completing the Stock

In Part 4, we carve/sand the stock to bring the wood flush with the brass. Then, we stain it.

Bringing the wood of your stock flush with your brass using only sandpaper can be a time-consuming process. It's also the best way to be certain that you don't remove too much material. Once removed, the wood cannot be replaced, so caution is important.

However, if you're a proficient woodworker and have the tools, you can greatly speed up the process by using an orbital sander, carving tools, or a wood rasp.

Materials/Tools:
-150-2500 grit sandpaper
-Brush
-Carving tools/Orbital sander/Wood rasp (Helpful, but unnecessary)
-Preferred wood stain/finish
-Small flathead screwdriver
