This little testing device from Temu costs just £8.50, and it really is rather good. It plugs into the USB-C port on your phone, laptop or other device with a USB-C plug charging cable on the other side. The LCD panel in the meter then displays various metrics showing the power and charging level of your device.

The meter arrived packaged in a plastic bag containing the meter itself and a rather poorly printed and over simpliified user guide. Build quality of the meter is all plastic and lightweight, as to be expected, but the LCD panel is vibrant and colourful. There is only one control - a small recessed orange button on the rear.

The operation is simple enough. Plug it into your phone or other battery operated USB-C device with the input power connected to the USB-C port on the side. The meter colour LCD display lights up with the default screen showing a real time display of the voltage, impedance, and wattage. Press the button, and a new screen comes up showing all the above plus max and minimum readings, data interface voltage, capacity, and electricity in watt hours. Press again to get a real time graph plus a few other minor readings. Double click to reverse the display direction, press and hold to clear the recorded timing and power readings. Long press to change the recording period of the display curve. The first screen is easy enough to read, but the others will require either exceptionally good eyesight or a magnifying glass.

That is it. It does one job and does it pretty well. It is a handy little gadget to keep on hand - although it is small and easily lost - and allows you to test chargers, USB adapters and the power intake of your phone or other similar device. For the low price, it has to be a decent buy.
