A Modern Joseph

Are We What the World Needs?

There’s a moment in Scripture that doesn’t just tell a story.
It asks a question.

Joseph stood before Pharaoh and said:
“God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do.”
(Genesis 41:28)

Joseph wasn’t chosen because he was powerful.
He was chosen because he listened.
And because he prepared.

The world still moves in seasons.
Seasons of abundance.
Seasons of loss.
Seasons when everything feels uncertain.

Scripture doesn’t tell us to panic when the famine comes.
It tells us to prepare while things are still good.

“Let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming.”
(Genesis 41:35)

That wasn’t fear.
That was wisdom.

So here’s the question Scripture quietly asks us now:

Are we listening?
Are we preparing?
Are we stewarding what God has placed in our hands?

Maybe the world doesn’t need louder voices.
Maybe it needs people who notice the seasons.
People who plan.
People who protect what matters.
People who think beyond themselves.

Joseph wasn’t just a man in a story.
He was a pattern.

And maybe…
we are being invited to step into it.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant?”
(Matthew 24:45)

Are we what the world needs right now?
